Gazza linked with St Pauli

German Second Division side FC St Pauli are the latest club to offer a trial to Paul Gascoigne.

The 35-year-old is currently training with Liaoning in China.

But Gascoigne's manager Ian Elliot said: "We have received a very interesting offer from St. Pauli.

"They are a side with tradition and potential, even if they are currently only in the second league."

Any move would hinge on whether the two parties can agree personal terms, but St Pauli have a solution to the potential problem.

Coach Franz Gerber said: "He is so popular in Germany, it might even be possible to finance his wages simply by selling hundreds of replica shirts with his name on."
