Alpay in Villa showdown talks

Aston Villa’s transfer-listed central defender Alpay is to hold talks with club chairman Doug Ellis next week in an attempt to thrash out his future.

And the Turkish international has dropped a strong hint that he will be willing to stay with the club – if he can be given first-team football.
