Kerr favourite for Irish manager post
Ireland youth boss Brian Kerr has emerged as the favourite to succeed Mick McCarthy as manager of the senior international team.
Kerr, who flew to the United Arab Emirates with the Irish under-20 squad yesterday, was interviewed for the post by an FAI sub-committee in Dublin before he left.
The Dubliner is now the bookies' favourite following his two-hour interview in Merrion Square.
Kevin Moran, Bryan Robson, Kenny Dalglish, Philippe Troussier and Peter Reid are also believed to be on the shortlist of candidates for the position.
