Burley targets Ireland match

Derby midfielder Craig Burley has targeted a return to the Scotland squad against the Republic of Ireland.

The former Celtic star has spent much of the last year sidelined with an Achilles injury.

But he is set to make his return to the national stage when the two sides meet at Hampden Park on February 12.

He told the Sunday Mail: "I'm back playing now after a year out with an Achilles injury.

"All being well I'm hoping to be back for the Ireland game."
