Owen returns to Reds' line-up

Michael Owen returned to the Liverpool starting line-up against Aston Villa this afternoon as manager Gerard Houllier attempted to arrest the Anfield slide.

Owen, who came on from the bench in Liverpool’s midweek Worthington Cup defeat against Sheffield United after having missed three games with a hamstring injury, has not scored in the Barclaycard Premiership since November 2.
