Bowyer completes Hammers move

Midfielder Lee Bowyer has completed his move from Leeds to Barclaycard Premiership rivals West Ham.

The 26-year-old has signed a six-month deal at Upton Park and is set to make his debut against Newcastle on Saturday.

It has been an eventful day for the midfielder – he has also been banned for six matches by UEFA following his stamp on Malaga midfielder Gerardo during a UEFA Cup tie in December.
