Disciplinary D-Day for Bowyer
Lee Bowyer could begin his career as a West Ham player with a UEFA ban following a disciplinary hearing in Switzerland later today.
The England midfielder, who is on the verge of a move from Leeds to Upton Park, will find out this afternoon if he is to be punished over an alleged stamping incident in the game against Malaga at Elland Road on December 12.
Bowyer appeared to stamp on the head of Gerardo in the 2-1 UEFA Cup defeat but escaped with a booking.
UEFA’s control and disciplinary body were meeting at the organisation’s Nyon headquarters this morning to discuss the incident.
