Middlesbrough central defender Ugo Ehiogu has been released from hospital after suffering two fractured ribs and a punctured lung in the Premiership match at Blackburn Rovers on New Year’s Day.
The former Aston Villa player is recovering following a clash with Blackburn goalkeeper Brad Friedel.
No comeback date has been set for Ehiogu, who joined Middlesbrough from Villa in October 2000.
