Saints net Argentinian winger

Southampton are set to complete the signing of Argentinian winger Frederico Arias today for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old Velez Sarsfield player had a medical late last night and has agreed the terms of a three-year deal.

Manager Gordon Strachan said: “Terry Cooper has watched him a few times and thinks he can help our squad. He can play on either flank which will give us good balance.

“He looks a useful player and is very quick and hopefully he will make us stronger.”
