Farnborough land dream FA Cup tie

Non-league Farnborough were today handed a dream FA Cup fourth tie against holders Arsenal.

The Conference outfit, 3-2 conquerors of Third Division Darlington, face the mighty Gunners on January 25 or 26 in a match that captures the romance of the competition.

It remains to be seen if the tie will be played at the Aimita Stadium - capacity 4,900 – or switched to Highbury.

Shrewsbury Town’s reward for their giant-killing act against Everton is a mouthwatering fourth round tie with last year’s beaten finalists Chelsea.

The draw also produced several all-Premiership ties. Manchester United were handed a home tie against West Ham, Fulham face Charlton and Blackburn meet the winners of the third round replay between Bolton and Sunderland.
