Pompey pull a goal back

First Division leaders Portsmouth have pulled a goal back against Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.

Steve Stone netted on 38 minutes to give Pompey hope going into the final five minutes of the first half.

Ruud van Nistelrooy opened the scoring from the spot in the fifth minute after Ryan Giggs was pulled down in the box.

And David Beckham made it two in the 17th minute from a free-kick just outside the box after Gary Neville was pulled down.
