Kanoute denies Fulham rumour
Freddie Kanoute has denied he is ready to turn his back on West Ham and join Fulham.
Stories in Friday's newspapers linked the Frenchman with a £5m (€7.72m) switch to west London.
But Kanoute, who will be flying to America on Tuesday to see a specialist about his long-standing groin injury, admits the rumours are "nothing more than speculation."
"I'd like to reassure any West Ham fans who have read stories recently linking me with a move to Fulham," he told Icons.
"These rumours are news to me and I have no intention of turning my back on West Ham and leaving Upton Park.
"All I care about at the moment is getting fit and back into the first team so I can repay the faith and patience the club and the fans have shown in me.
"Everyone here has been so good to me while I have been injured and my only concern is giving something back.
"It is true that Fulham tried to sign me many months ago but I did not ask to leave then and I have not asked to leave now.
"Perhaps it is inevitable there will be transfer talk now because there is little time for clubs to make changes this season, but the talk is nothing more than speculation."
