Middlesbrough will be without central defender Ugo Ehiogu and midfielder Luke Wilkshire when they visit Chelsea in the FA Cup third round tomorrow.

Ehiogu suffered two fractured ribs and a punctured lung against Blackburn on New Year’s Day while Wilkshire is suspended after two yellow cards against Arsenal last month.

Former Rangers defender Tony Vidmar is expected to take over the central defensive role for Boro – who are seeking their first away win since the 3-0 success at Tottenham on September 28.

Provisional squad: Schwarzer, Parnaby, Queudrue, Vidmar, Southgate, Wilson, Geremi, Maccarone, Nemeth, Boksic, Job, Whelan, Windass, Crossley, Davies.
