Spurs hope to clinch Morientes loan deal

Tottenham hope to sign Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes on a unusual loan deal, reports the Daily Express.

Morientes is a long way down the pecking order meaning Real are prepared to pay half the player's £45,000 (€69,000)-a-week wages to remove him from their wage bill.
