Holdsworth signs for Coventry
Dean Holdsworth has signed for Coventry City on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old has been on loan at Highfield Road since the end of November but made the move permanent after initial talks had broken down.
The former England ‘B’ international was Bolton’s record signing when he joined them for £3.5m (€5.3m) from Wimbledon in 1997, going on to score almost 50 goals.
But he has failed to feature regularly at the Reebok Stadium this season and manager Sam Allardyce agreed he could leave this week.
