Sheringham set to return

Tottenham skipper Teddy Sheringham looks set to return for the New Year’s Day trip to Southampton after being given a rest during the Christmas programme.

Dean Richards also hopes to return against his former club following an Achilles injury, but Darren Anderton is unlikely to recover from flu.
