Manchester United have reached a revised settlement with Lazio over the £12m (€18.5m) owed to the club over the transfer of Jaap Stam.

Manchester United have reached a revised settlement with Lazio over the £12m (€18.5m) owed to the club over the transfer of Jaap Stam.

The Italian club will now pay £13.3m (€20.7m) by way of recompense after agreeing to defer payments until September 2004.

Dutch defender Stam joined Lazio from the Old Trafford club in a £16.5m (€25.7m) deal in August last year.
