Roeder: 'It's not life or death'

Glenn Roeder tried to put West Ham’s plight into perspective today by saying: “There are people dying in this world, so I wouldn’t say that being bottom of the table would ruin my Christmas.”

If Roeder’s team lose at home to Bolton tomorrow it means they will be bottom of the table at Christmas, and the statistics show that no team who has been bottom of the Premiership on December 25 has avoided relegation.
