David Beckham has shrugged off his fitness worries and is due to start for Manchester United against Chelsea in the Worthington Cup.

The England captain has been on the bench in the first two matches of his comeback following a broken rib.

There were reports he had suffered a knee injury in the 3-0 victory of West Ham on Saturday but Ferguson says the midfielder is fully fit.

French defender Laurent Blanc could return after a calf problem, while Diego Forlan is also in contention for a place.

Ferguson said: "I have David back fit and Laurent and it is possible these two could play.

"Diego really deserves to play as well so that could be three changes."
