No cash for Wilko, Sunderland AGM told

Premiership strugglers Sunderland have slumped to over £25m (€38.8m) in debt and told manager Howard Wilkinson there will be no cash for strengthening the squad when the transfer window opens next month.

Shareholders packed into the Stadium of Light for today’s annual meeting demanding answers to the dramatic slump in performances both on and off the pitch.
