Staunton returns to Villa squad

Aston Villa captain Steve Staunton will return for the home local derby with West Brom after completing a one-match ban for totting up five yellow cards.

But the former Republic Of Ireland star must wait to see if he will be recalled after being left out of last month’s Hawthorns meeting when Ronny Johnsen and Olof Mellberg were preferred to combat the pace of Jason Roberts.
