West Brom pull goal back against Spurs
Tottenham 2, West Brom 1 (latest)
West Brom have pulled a goal back against Tottenham Hotspur in their Premiership match at Whitehart Lane.
Scott Dobie found himself in a bit of space and under no pressure as he advanced on goal and hammered the ball across Keller into the far corner with 17 minutes to go.
Spurs made a sharp start to the second half and almost added a third goal when Stephen Carr's cross-shot was deflected across the face of the goal and beyond the far post after Sheringham fed him out wide.
Albion were struggling to make space for their attacks now and Hughes and Roberts were running up blind alleys.
There was panic at the back, as well, when Ziege provided an over-hit left-wing cross which Carr put back in the goalmouth where Sean Gregan took a mighty swing at the ball and sent it spiralling into the air. Luckily Hoult was underneath it and caught the ball confidently under pressure.
Goalscorer Dobie was sent on for Hughes in an exchange of strikers after 55 minutes.
