Giggs and Smith wanted by Inter
Inter Milan are lining up a £40million (€63m) double swoop for Ryan Giggs and Leeds' Alan Smith when the transfer window opens in January.
The duo have become key targets in the Italian Serie A side's push for honours.
Inter president Massimo Moratti is prepared to pay Manchester United £20m (€31.5m) for Giggs - and then offer him a four-year deal worth £16m (€25m) after tax.
Smith, another £20m target, moved to the top of the Inter's shopping list after his four-goal demolition of Hapoel Tel Aviv in Florence last week.
But Inter may face stiff competition from Juventus who are also said to be keen on signing the England striker.
