FIFA could ban Nicolas Anelka for Manchester City’s match at Middlesbrough next Saturday following his refusal to play for France.

FIFA could ban Nicolas Anelka for Manchester City’s match at Middlesbrough next Saturday following his refusal to play for France.

If the French Football Federation make a complaint to world football’s governing body, FIFA have the power to suspend Anelka for five days beyond Wednesday night’s France match against Yugoslavia.
