Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has revealed that Neil Lennon suffered long-lasting emotional repercussions after receiving a death threat earlier in the season.

The 31-year-old had only just come back from an injury in the summer before being forced to retire from international football in August after police notified him of a telephone call just before he was due to captain Northern Ireland against Cyprus.
