Former Sunderland boss Peter Reid has admitted he would be interested in taking over as manager of the Republic of Ireland.

Former Sunderland boss Peter Reid has admitted he would be interested in taking over as manager of the Republic of Ireland.

Mick McCarthy led Ireland to the second round of the World Cup in the summer, but resigned from the job last week following the disappointing start to the Euro 2004 qualifying campaign.
