Babbel back for Reds

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier hands first starts of the season to goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and defender Markus Babbel in the Worthington Cup third round tie against Southampton at Anfield.

Kirkland replaces Jerzy Dudek, who is rested, while Babbel makes his first start in over a year after battling back from a rare virus.
