Ten-man Longford settle for point

Barry Ferguson was sent off for the second game running as Town had to settle for a point at Belfield.

That took the gloss off the day for Town who had earlier regained the nine points deducted in their registration row over Avery John.

Ferguson, only back from suspension, was sent off for a second yellow card for again fouling UCD striker Sean Finn on 73 minutes.

Neither side created any decent chances in a match they will want to forget.
