Kerr makes changes to U-20 squad
Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr has been forced to make five changes in his squad of eighteen players for two friendly matches against Slovakia and the Czech Republic next week.
The Irish play Slovakia in Devin on Monday next, November 4, (kick-off 1pm local time) and face the Czechs in Drnovice on Wednesday (kick-off 4.30pm local time).
Kerr has lost Wayne Henderson as Aston Villa need the impressive goalkeeper for first team cover. Henderson is replaced in the travelling panel by Brian Murphy of Manchester City.
Three other players are injured, Keith Gilroy (Middlesboro), Adrian Deane (Charlton Athletic) and Conor Gethins (Ross County) while Stephen Elliott (Manchester City) is unavailable.
These four absentees are replaced by George Snee (Tottenham Hotspur), Keith Graydon (Sunderland), Reiner Moor (Exeter City) and Alan Murphy of Shelbourne who is the only home-based player in the squad.
