Irish supporters concerned at Crozier resignation

The Irish Football Supporters Association has expressed concern at the resignation of English FA chief executive Adam Crozier yesterday.

The IFSA said the move leaves the English FA in the hands of soccer club chairmen, who will use it to restrict friendly international fixtures and gain control over international players.

In a statement released today, the group said: "Irish internationals who play for English clubs will find themselves 'confined to barracks' for almost all friendly fixtures and even for major qualifying international fixtures.

"In fact, England-based Irish players will be the first victims of repressive measures as the club bosses take the reins of power in the FA."
