Newcastle came back from a goal down against Dynamo Kiev to salvage hopes of qualifying for the second phase of the Champions League at St James' Park.

The sides were scoreless at the break, but Newcastle were caught napping on the resumption as Shatskikh went past Steve Harper.

Gary Speed pulled back a goal on 58 minutes and an Alan Shearer penalty settled the game 11 minutes later.
