Referee Steve Bennett has decided not to rescind the red card he awarded to Aston Villa goalkeeper Peter Enckelman in last night’s Premiership clash with Southampton at Villa Park.

Enckelman was sent off in the first minute of the second half after a clash in his penalty area with Saints striker Brett Ormerod.
