Keane to answer disrepute charges

Former Ireland international Roy Keane is due to appear before a Football Association hearing today to answer two charges of bringing the game into disrepute.

The charges follow an admission in Keane's recently published autobiography that he deliberately set out to injure Manchester City's Alf-Inge Haaland in a Premiership game in April 2001.

Keane is expected to argue that he was misquoted in his own autobiography by its ghost-writer, Eamon Dunphy.
