Eircom League Premier Division side Longford Town could face a nine-point deduction over a registration misdemeanour.

Eircom League Premier Division side Longford Town could face a nine-point deduction over a registration misdemeanour.

It is understood Town are guilty of misregistration in relation to striker Avery John.

The Eircom League Board of Control is to meet this evening on the issue.
