West Brom striker Scott Dobie has withdrawn from the Scotland squad to face Iceland after suffering a groin injury.

Dobie had been due to join Berti Vogts’ Scotland squad today as they prepare for a crucial European Championship qualifier but will now stay at The Hawthorns for treatment having sustained the injury in the defeat at Newcastle.

West Brom boss Gary Megson told the club’s official website, www.wba.co.uk: “Scott’s too sore and stiff and won’t be able to travel. He’s very, very disappointed.”
