Longford up to second place
Longford Town 1 Bray Wanderers 0
Town made it two wins on the spin to move up to joint second in the table despite playing for 40 minutes with ten men.
Eric Lavine hit his seventh league goal of the season for the only strike of the game two minutes before half-time.
Alan Kirby worked a short corner with Seamus Crowe to cross for Lavine to score with a near post header.
Bray were given a boost five minutes after the break when Town defender Barry Ferguson was sent off for pulling down Jason Byrne.
But they could find no way past Town keeper Stephen O'Brien who made super stops from Barry O'Connor and Byrne.
