Leicester prepare for Wise decision

Leicester City will learn on Wednesday whether they have won the right to end the contract of Dennis Wise.

The decision will be made by a four-man tribunal - Robert Reid, Andy Williamson of the Football League, ex-player John Bramhall, and ex-Tottenham manager Keith Burkinshaw.

Wise was sacked following Leicester's pre-season tour to Finland in July for a serious breach of club discipline.

He attacked Callum Davidson during the club's trip after a row over a late-night game of cards.

It was claimed that Wise hit the Scottish international while he was in bed and still drowsy from being asleep, leaving him with a fractured cheekbone. Wise was sent home by Leicester and two weeks later told his contract was being ripped up.

Wise appealed against the decision and a Football League disciplinary commission ruled in his favour, ordering for him to be reinstated. Leicester then launched their own appeal against that decision, and a fresh verdict will be reached on Wednesday.
