Cork City 3 Shamrock Rovers 2

City gave Rovers a 2-0 lead before blitzing them with three goals inside ten second half minutes to stay second.

Rovers appeared set for only their second win of the season when goals from James Keddy on 40 minutes and a second from Noel Hunt shortly after the restart had them in apparent control.

But Billy Woods led the City comeback with goals on 57 and 65 minutes before substitute James Mulligan won it for the Leesiders.

City can now go top if they beat St Pat's in a back match on Monday night.
