Eircom League to mark September 11 anniversary

The eircom League is to mark the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York with a minute's silence at all games played on September 11.

The gesture, which will be made before all eircom League senior and under 21 games, is, said a league spokesman: "A show of solidarity and mark of respect as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
