Toffees wait on injured duo

Everton take their unbeaten Premiership record to Manchester City hoping that Richard Wright and Mark Pembridge have recovered from an injured and stomach upset respectively.

Both missed the midweek draw with Birmingham, which saw Steve Simonsen play in goal and David Unsworth replace Pembridge.

Boss David Moyes, must also decide whether to use the same policy in last weekend’s 1-0 win at Sunderland, when he opted to leave teenage striker Wayne Rooney on the substitutes’ bench and play a more cautious 4-4-2 formation for an away match, with Niclas Alexandersson in midfield.

igerian Joseph Yobo has aggravated his ankle injury in training and is highly unlikely to be considered. He may even be withdrawn from next week’s internationals.
