Croatians Varteks eased into the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup with another comfortable win over First Divison Dundalk at Tolka Park.

Varteks added to their 5-0 first leg lead within 21 minutes when Matija Kristic rose to head home skipper Milenko Mumlek's corner.

Varteks increased their lead five minutes after the break when a sweeping move involving Igor Jancevski and Ilami Halimi put substitute Nedin Halilovic in to sidefoot past Connolly.

Dundalk had defender Bryan McCrystal sent off for a second yellow card for a foul on Halilovic five minutes later.

A mistake by Robbie Brunton gifted Ivica Huljev Varteks' third goal on 69 minutes with Ivan Fumic drilling home the fourth eleven minutes from the end.
