Fulham visit Boro

Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren was hoping today to shrug off the disappointment of Juninho’s serious injury for the Premiership visit of Fulham.

With Juninho on his way to America for an operation to reconstruct a knee before he has kicked a competitive ball in his third stint with the club, Italian Massimo Maccarone lined up with new boy George Boateng for the clash with the buoyant Londoners who began their campaign in style last week with a 4-1 win over Bolton.
