Pompey agree fee for Festa

Portsmouth have agreed a fee with Middlesbrough for defender Gianluca Festa.

The Italian has also agreed personal terms with the Fratton Park club and will sign if he passes a medical on Thursday afternoon.

A Pompey spokesman said: "It will be a good signing.

"Harry (Redknapp) has been looking for more numbers at the back.

"He feels it’s important to have a good backline and Festa’s got good experience."
