Leeds sign PR guru Max Clifford

Leeds United plc have appointed high-profile PR guru Max Clifford to help with their public relations.

Clifford will also work with Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale but his appointment does not affect other jobs at the club.

A spokesman for Ridsdale said: "Peter can confirm that Max Clifford is doing some work for Peter and the plc board."

It is not Clifford’s first involvement with football - he was hired in the past by Fulham chairman Mohamed al Fayed to handle the London club’s public relations.
