An 80th minute strike from David Ward saw holders Dundalk force a replay in tonights FAI Cup first round tie at Oriel Park.

Martin Reilly had handed Dundalk the lead on 28 minutes before Marc Kenny levelled proceedings for Shamrock Rovers with a penalty before the break.

Rovers then took the lead shortly after the hour before Ward grabbed a sensational equaliser to take the game to a replay at Tolka Park next Tuesday.

Limerick and Waterford also cancelled each other out in a 1-1 encounter at Jackman park.
