Scottish Football Association chief executive David Taylor admits the joint bid with Ireland to host Euro 2008 is now entering a critical phase.

But he was confident the latest phase in the process, which will see UEFA officials scrutinising the bids in detail, would only boost their chances of emerging victorious.
