Liverpool are being tipped to pip Leeds in the race to sign Brett Emerton from Feyenoord, according to several newspapers.

The Sun, Daily Mirror and Daily Express report that the Reds' decision to pull out of the Lee Bowyer deal has led to Gerard Houllier becoming favourite to land the right-sided midfielder.
