Birmingham have abandoned their pursuit of Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison.

Talks have broken down after the two clubs failed to agree a compromise on the transfer fee.

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce will now turn his attentions to Poland international striker Emmanuel Olisadebe.

They have agreed a fee with Greek club Panathinaikos and Olisadebe will arrive in Birmingham later this week to discuss personal terms.

Managing director Karen Brady told the club's official website, www.bcfc.com: "The (Morrison) talks have broken down and we will now turn our attentions to Emmanuel Olisadebe."
