Irish Under-21 striker Burgess signs for Stockport County

Republic of Ireland striker Ben Burgess, 20, has moved to Second Division Stockport County for £400,000 (€624,989).

Republic of Ireland striker Ben Burgess, 20, has moved to Second Division Stockport County for £400,000 (€624,989).

The club and player agreed on personal terms after at the fee was agreed last Thursday.

Burgess scored 17 goals while on loan with Brentford last season.
