Speculation links Adams to Watford

Watford officials have refused to comment on speculation that Arsenal's Tony Adams is in line to take over the vacant manager's job at Vicarage Road.

Reports suggest the 35-year-old former England international has held two rounds of talks with the Hornets, who are looking for a replacement for Gianluca Vialli following his sacking in June.

But the club would not be drawn on the subject.

Club spokesman Andrew French said: "It is club policy not to comment on speculation.

"We will only make an announcement when there's an announcement to be made."
